Tyne Tour 2009 is over. We hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the event: members of Hexham Canoe Club and other local clubs who staffed the car parks, the Information Tent and the safety team, looked after the money and generally kept things going; our friends in the Trade Stands for their donations and support; staff of Northumberland County Council and the local emergency services who gave the necessary permissions for the event; Hexham Auction Mart who let us use their land; local landowners and riparian owners for the use of their land and for their good wishes and the staff of North Country Leisure who put up with us at the Ceilidh. Thanks to you all!

If you have pictures from the Tour that you'd like us to display please email them to
info@tynetour.co.uk. We'll show a selection on the website. We have links to other Tyne Tour photo galleries.

We're shutting down most of the site, so we can go off paddling. The results for the Tyne descent Race held on Saturay 7th November can be found
here. Suggestions to improve the Tour will always be welcomed, please send them to info@tynetour.co.uk

The site will be refreshed in January, in time for Tyne Tour 2010, which will be over the weekend of November 5th, 6th and 7th. In the meantime, if you're on the Tyne, come and say hi to us in Hexham. Our boathouse is due to be redeveloped this winter, so we'll be shivering on river bank, so we won't refuse offers of hot drinks, chocolate or beer.

If you've got any ideas or suggestions to help us improve the Tour please email us (info@tynetour.co.uk) or contribute them to the (Discussion) forum
